Listen live to the entire Washington DC Fire, EMS & City Services radio system. Unlike other Apps, you can listen to every talkgroup on the system. All of the transmission are archived, so you can quickly find and listen to past calls.

The system uses a Software Defined Radio to capture the trunking control channel, which announces new calls on the system. A recorder is then spun for each transmission, making sure nothing is missed.

Just short snippets
Wont let you listen live, just short snippets at a time. An interesting diversion but not really useful. Not really sure what you would get from a bunch of static-y garbled transmissions anway.
Incredibly interesting
I really like this. Allows you to listen through recent broadcasts.
Great capability
Would recommend to developer that the interface be improved to add more features. Specifically with respect to timeline and some level of history with what has already been listened to.
Great app but lacking a few features
No longer do I wonder "Where is that fire truck going?" I can pull out this app and search for the feed. This app is great for even those that own scanners because you can quickly access it and listen "live" or search archived to find out whats going on. The ability to listen to recently archived calls and the talk group tags sets this apart from other scanner apps. Its simple design affords anyone the opportunity to listen to scanner feeds. Still would like to see more export or save options for audio clips and the ability to bookmark or favorite a clip if you want to reference back to it. Also would like more filter customization. Instead of choosing which one talk group you want to listen to - allow the ability to select multiple talk groups to either filter in or out. Great start to the app!
Works well
Awesome use of GNU Radio on the server side. Nice app to access it.
